CHANEL highlights the art of perfumery with this Olfactive Workshop. Discover the power of the sense of smell and how it functions, through an olfactive guessing game, explore N°5’s composition and its key ingredients and participate in experiments to understand the fragrance’s construction.
In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel asked Ernest Beaux to create "a woman's perfume with a woman's scent", rare and powerful. The nose presented her with a visionary creation, and Mademoiselle chose the fifth sample of the fragrance, and decided to name it simply N°5. The unprecedented scent of the fragrance, along with its simple name and bottle, revolutionised the history of perfumery. Attend this event to discover the story behind Chanel N°5, the ingredients and the complexity and modernity of this legendary fragrance’s composition. This workshop will highlight the importance of the sense of smell and the memories associated with it.
